Love Happens: Chapter 5

Singhania house, Mumbai.

7 in the morning.


There was chaos in the house. The staff was running around keeping the things needed for the opening in the cars. Everyone was waiting for the youngsters to come down so that they could start for the hotel. One by one everyone came.


“If everyone is ready then we should start for the hotel. The opening is at 10 but it’s better if we reach an hour before that” said Manyata.


“We all are ready but where are the girls?” asked Devyani.


“All the three girls are already at the hotel so we should leave as well” informed Manyata.

The Mumbai Royale, Mumbai.


Hotel


Everyone exited from the cars which had stopped in front of the hotel doors. There was commotion all around. As soon as they exited the car, many bellboys came and started taking the stuff they had bought inside.


“Where are Khushi, Payal and Lavanya?” Manyata asked the manager who had just appeared to greet them.


“Payal ma’am is talking to the event planner, Lavanya ma’am is instructing the reporters but I don’t know where Khushi ma’am is?” explained the manager.


“Fine, could you inform Jay and the girls to come and meet me in the room?” said Manyata. Then she dismissed the manager and signaled everyone to follow her to the hall. “I have booked us four rooms so that we can take rest if we want”. She led everyone to the rooms and opened one of the rooms and told everyone to sit. “There are still about 15 minutes before we have to go to the hall for the opening so if anyone wants to get fresh…”

Anjali removed her make-up kit and started fixing her makeup.


“You already spend so much time getting ready, how much more makeup will you apply?” asked Subhadra.


“It is very important to apply makeup, samdhanji” said Manorama.


“Leave them and their makeup alone” said Manohar shaking his head.


There was a knock on the door and Shyam went to open it. A guy came in and went directly towards Manyata.

“Hi dadi, how are you? The manager informed that you wanted to speak to me?” he said and hugged Manyata.


“Hello Jay. I am fine beta. Actually I wanted a final report on today’s preparations” Manyata said while coming out of the hug.


“Don’t worry dadi; everything is how it’s supposed to be. You just relax and have fun” said Jay.


“Dadi, of course everything is just perfect” Lavanya said while entering the room with Payal.


When Akash saw Payal, he thought no one was as beautiful as her. She looked so innocent and shy. Payal felt that Akash though dressed in a simple kurta he looked handsome.


NK was just staring at Lavanya who looked so stunning. He had many girlfriends in the past but he felt none of them were like her. Lavanya observed NK. She thought he looked very different in Indian wear. He looked serious and not the relaxing and easy going persona she had seen yesterday.


“I know, but no harm in asking again. BTW where is gudiya?” asked Manyata


“She must be somewhere. The last time I checked she was in the hall...” Payal was saying when Khushi entered the room and said “but she is here now”


Arnav saw Khushi enter the room and he felt his heart skip a beat. He was never very fond of Indian wear but her wearing a lehenga choli made him think otherwise. The midnight blue and silver color complimented her fair skin tone and the pink colored dupatta made her glow. She had her hair in an elegant bun and few strands were left out. She had worn long silver and blue diamond earrings. He had seen his fair share of beautiful women but at this moment he thought no one could compare with her. He had seen many women who wore much more revealing clothes to seduce him but he felt that Khushi had the power to attract him without even trying. Then his eyes fell on the naval ring. He could have sworn that he had never seen anything sexier than this. He was suddenly having very inappropriate thoughts which he had no control over.


On the other hand when Khushi saw Arnav her first thought was he looked so handsome in his signature black three piece suit. His looks and charm held so much power that one couldn’t help but be drawn to him. It’s like he demanded respect. His aura was so powerful that even in a room full of people you couldn’t look past him.


“All my girls look absolutely stunning. May god protect you from evil eyes” said Sarita.


“I don’t know about us but you and dadi look so pretty” Khushi said and side hugged Sarita.


“Where were you? No one knew your exact location” said Manyata.


“I was with Antonio going over the final menu” informed Khushi.


“In other words she was busy eating Antonio’s yummy food” Lavanya poked Khushi’s stomach.


“Well… I may have tasted a few dishes. But I was hungry. We have been here from 6.30 in the morning and I don’t like to eat so early in the morning. So I was hungry now and a girl’s got to eat. And I bet even you ate his food” Khushi smirked and poked Lavanya’s stomach.


“No comment” Lavanya said and Payal was shaking her head at their antics.


“It’s time now; we should go to the hall. Almost all the guests are there and the press also has set up” informed Jay.


All of them started to proceed towards the hall. Anjali was keeping her makeup in her purse while observing Khushi, Lavanya and Payal. She had taken so much time to do her make up but still they looked prettier than her without doing much makeup she thought envying them.


Khushi sat on the sofa and adjusted her heels and turned around to take her mobile. That’s when Arnav noticed the back of the choli or in this case the absence of it.


The choli was held by a thin silver strap. Her smooth milky white back was clearly visible and he wanted to touch her back. He felt a sudden urge to remove his coat and wrap it on her so that no one could see her back. If he thought that yesterday she looked innocent, right know she looked downright sexy.


“Let’s get going” said Devyani.

Auditorium


All the guests were seated and the press had taken their places. The cameras were set. Khushi, Lavanya, Payal, Jay and Manyata were on the stage. Everyone was waiting for Manyata to start her speech. After few minutes Khushi, Lavanya, Payal and Jay sat on their seats and Manyata stood at the podium.


“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for attending the opening of ‘The Mumbai Royal’. It is the pleasure of Singhania Hotels to make a 7 star hotel in the financial capital of India. This hotel is not only the biggest hotel in India but it is the biggest casino in India as well. To begin with the hotel is divided in 6 towers. ‘The Mumbai Royal’ is a 29 story tower which is designed in Roman architecture style, with exterior fluted columns and Corinthian capitals and pediments. Everyone applauded and started proceeding to check the hotel. For another 3-4 hours everyone took a tour of the hotel. Then they decided to go to the Indian tadka to have lunch.

Indian tadka


Everyone was sitting in a round table and had just ordered the food.


“The hotel is beyond my imagination Manyata” Devyani said with awe.


“I must agree this is by far the best hotel in India from Singhania hotels. I am very impressed” said Arnav.

“Thank you all for such lovely views about the hotel” said Manyata.


Just then Rakesh and Seema Rathore arrived at their table.


“How are you masa?” Seema greeted Manyata. Rakesh also said Namaste.


“Where were you both? I did not see you in the auditorium” asked Manyata


“We were a little late so we sat at the back that’s why you all didn’t see us” explained Rakesh.


“Fine, so how did you like the hotel?” asked Manyata


“The hotel is absolutely stunning and what else can be expected from Singhania, nothing but perfection” said Rakesh.


“Uncle, are you trying to butter us so that we forget you came late?” Khushi asked mischievously


“Naughty girl, it’s nothing like that” Seema scolded her trying to control her smile.


“Whatever you say maasi” Khushi winked Seema.


“Leave all this, where is Yuvraj? He is at least coming to the party right?” asked Sarita.


“He wouldn’t dare miss the party. As it is he is worried what will happen to him for not attending the opening” Seema said the last part looking at Khushi.


“He should be worried” Khushi said with a serious expressing.


Hearing this Arnav could gather that Khushi and Yuvraj were close. He suddenly wanted to do some harm to this Yuvraj he hadn’t even seen before. He did not understand the emotions he was feeling since yesterday and thought that it was better for his peace of mind to say away from Khushi.


“I suggest that we finish our lunch fast. It’s already 2.30 and we have a schedule to follow. I think we should head back home. I have some stylist coming at home to help us get ready. If anyone wants help, let me know”. Khushi informed the Raizada ladies. She saw that Payal and Lavanya had also finished eating. “If you excuse us, well just check some things before heading home” Khushi pointed towards them.


“We’ll also finish in a while and head home to get ready for the evening” said Manyata.

Khushi, Payal, Lavanya and Jay waved everyone goodbye and headed towards the exit.


“We will also take your leave. Yuvraj must be reaching home in sometime. Well see you all in the evening” saying this Rakesh and Seema took their leave.


“We’ll also leave. Its already close to 4.and god knows how much time it will take the people to get ready for the part” said Sarita.


Everyone agreed and left for Singhania house. Everyone was excited for the party. It was going to one party all of them would not forget in this lifetime.
